Located in secluded Sound Shores, this 3 bedroom vacation home on Ocracoke Island offers privacy and amazing views of the sound and marsh. This unique property offers a sandy beach, perfect for kayaking or simply relaxing on the waterfront. A generous offering of restful decks and porches further compliment this special island getaway.
Located at the end of a single lane tree-lined lane. A narrow driveway entry may be difficult for larger vehicles.
3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths: 2 with Queen, 1 with two Twins. Queen Sleeper Sofa in the sitting area. 1 primary bedroom, 1 with a semi-private bathroom and 1 hallway bathroom.
Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access, 2 cable TVs and whirlpool tub in master bedroom. Washer and dryer.
The exterior offers ample decking, screened porch, hot/cold outdoor shower, picnic tables, hammock and park style charcoal grill.
*This home does not provide linens.
No Smoking. Pet Friendly - Small Dogs Only. Limit of 2 Dogs. Limit of 3 vehicles.
Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

The location was 10. The sleeping was a bit tight for 8. The kids and the dog loved it. The microwave is falling apart but still works. We always love Ocracoke and different places are an adventure for sure.- Posted: 6/16/2024

We love Seafield house, and have stayed there for years. Location can't be beat, but the house needs some love. I guess it's waiting on it's new owner to replace or fix windows, doors and the rusting stove/broken microwave. And there's a rat (not a mouse) who visits the pantry at night if you leave the screened porch door sliding door open. Also the outlet next to the fridge is not functional on the top plug. That said, we've signed up for the same time next year, and we did appreciate the new fridge and dishwasher! We hope the new owners can give this house the investment it needs, and we look forward to more years of joy staying here.- Posted: 6/9/2024

We are enchanted by Seafield House...the setting, the view and the connection to outdoors are so lovely. The house was sparkling clean when we arrived. We needed a new microwave and OIR handled that promptly. There are a lot of deferred maintenance issues. And I wish that all of the windows could be opened. This was our third stay and we hope to return again although the house is for sale.- Posted: 5/5/2024

Another excellent week at OC 42 in August, as per the many past August weeks we've spent there. Great dinner experiences, terrific sea breeze even amidst an exceptionally steamy week. The cleaning crew did their usual superb job in prepping the comfortable and welcoming house. The worst thing about our annual week is...it feels too short!- Posted: 8/20/2023
