Our recipe for the perfect Fried Ocra consists of one part Ocracoke, one part fun, one part sun, and one part relaxation. Within walking distance to local restaurants. Enjoy breathtaking marsh and pond views.
3 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths: 2 Primary Bedrooms each with King and private bath, 1 with two sets of Bunk Beds and den with Futon.
Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, complimentary wireless internet access, and 5 cable TVs. Gas fireplace (Off-Season Only). The open floor plan of the second floor offers cathedral ceilings, ceiling fans, an open kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, and a convenient breakfast bar. Washer and dryer.
Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival.
The exterior offers two decking levels, offering various outdoor relaxation opportunities, a screened porch, decks, two outdoor dining tables, a hot/cold outdoor shower, and park style charcoal grill. Covered parking.
This is a 'green' house, the primary water source is natural rainwater, which has been filtered and chlorinated, which could be limited during extreme drought conditions. The backup system offers treated well water with filtering, softener, and chlorination system.
Pet Friendly. Limit of 2 pets. DOGS ONLY, owner is allergic to cats.
No Smoking/Vaping. Limit of 4 vehicles.
Military Discount Available. Discount can only be applied at the time of booking.
Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

First Floor: Primary bedroom with King, TV, and Primary bath with tub/shower. Bedroom with two sets of Bunks. Den with TV/DVD, and Queen Futon which shares a bath with tub/shower. Hallway Laundry Closet.

Fantastic stay at Fried Ocra! The locations is perfect, especially for off season being right across from the variety store and very close to beach access. We definitely love Ocracoke Island Realty and will always rent from you. The house we stayed at fried okra needs a lot of deferred maintenance taken care of. Lots of lightbulbs out fans not working things like that. However, we had a wonderful week and we appreciate all the people of Ocracoke Island!- Posted: 9/28/2024

We always enjoy our stay in Fried Ocra. I noticed that in the 2nd floor King Bed Room, there was a set of blinds missing as well as a broken closet door.- Posted: 7/8/2023

Overall we had a nice stay at Fried Okra. 2 couples, 3 kids, and a dog fit nicely in the space. The kitchen supplies are adequate but not great if you are planning a lot of cooking. Only a park type charcoal grill also. No easy outdoor plug for a golf cart, you need to run an extension cord from the utility room. The tap water was good with the cistern rainwater system.
