This island gem is located on a quiet cul-de-sac. Professional interior decorating is stunning but relaxed. This reverse floor plan is ideal for families with children or multi-family groups. The second floor open great room, dining and kitchen areas are bright and inviting. Fully-stocked kitchen has stainless appliances and granite countertops. The formal dining room, casual bar seating, and screened porch with patio table provide varied options for dining.

Two screened porches are open and airy in warm weather, yet protected from cool breezes in the off-season. Additional open porch on second floor is the ideal spot for reading a novel, taking a nap, or watching the stars. A large yard with privacy fence and park style charcoal grill is perfect for picnics or relaxing after a day at the beach.

3 bedrooms, 3 Baths: Two Bedrooms with King beds. One bedroom with two twins. Queen size Sleeper Sofa in living area.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet service, cable TV in the living area, and TVs in all bedrooms. All televisions are GChrome (Chromecast) enabled to allow content (video, music, games) from any smartphone, tablet, or laptop to be played on the television. Washer and dryer.

The exterior offers a hot/cold outdoor shower, park style charcoal grill and fish cleaning bench. Covered parking.

No smoking. No pets. Limit of 3 vehicles

Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

First Floor: Primary Bedroom with King bed, TV, and Primary Bath with shower only. Bedroom with 1 king bed, TV. Bedroom with 2 Twin beds, TV. Bath with shower. Laundry Closet.

Second Floor: Open kitchen, dining and living area with TV. Double size Sleeper Sofa in living area. Bath with tub/shower.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is centrally located on the island so you can get to everything quickly. The kitchen is well stocked. There are plenty of games & puzzles & books available!

Family stay

We had a great stay. The layout of the house was great for us. The location was good and not far from anything we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook with and was up to date. Only a few things that could be fixed. - no remote for lights/ceiling fan in twin bedroom - there was no remote for the ceiling fan on the top porch - hole in wall at the top of the stairs where a baby gate goes. So we couldn’t use it due to that being there - baby gates need replaced. They were a little old and difficult to use because of that.

The house was comfortable and worked well for our family of 4. My only reason not giving this a 5 star is because of issues with the kitchen. While it appears in the photos to have been well appointed with a recent update, there was very little storage to put the food we brought with us. Lots of dishes, but no bowls, few glasses, few coffee cups. Only one dry measuring cup and it really could use a larger skillet and some cookie sheets. Two of the kitchen drawers would not open because of the thickness of the drawer pulls. We are a family that likes to cook when vacationing at the beach so my disappointment was mainly due to our ability to do so as we are accustomed to. Overall a well appointed house though.

We absolutely adored our stay at Redbeard’s Claim. The house was perfect for our family of four and this was our best visit yet to Ocracoke.
