We had an amazing time at Mosbys Manor. Beautiful views from every window, and this place is even better than the photos. Also, communication was excellent and any problems we had were handled quickly. Looking forward to staying here in the future.

Eclectic and unique are good descriptors. The location was peaceful with little traffic or noise from others. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, however a few things should be noted for future guests.1 There is an apparently abandoned property next door with a green swamp pool. Thankfully, the decks are screened so this was not a problem beyond a bit of an eyesore.2. None of the bedrooms have doors but are instead separated by stairways. This might be an issue for some.3. The stairs are winding, narrow and steep. 2 bedrooms require moving down stairs to access bathrooms.4. There is parking on site but it is short. The F150 we drove down did not fit.We didn't allow any of these things to become an issue with our stay and we definitely enjoyed the peace of the breezes blowing through the marsh grasses. Skylights throughout the house brought in plenty of light and sunshine as well as good views of lightning storms. We would consider staying here again.

We enjoyed our fourth stay in Mosby’s Manor June 1-8, 2024. The location is wonderful: the house is surrounded by salt marsh and has a beautiful view of the sound. We enjoyed seeing all the birds and other wildlife in the marsh and watching the pelicans and terns diving for fish in the sound. The two first floor screened porches, as well as the covered upstairs porch, were perfect for these viewings. Updates to the property since our last stay in 2019 (replacement of much of the porch woodwork, some new porch and indoor furniture, and provision of numerous night lights that helped with navigating the rather eccentric house layout) made the place all the nicer. The area is very quiet since the property is on a dead-end road and there are only a few other houses. Parking is easy. We’re looking forward to staying in Mosby’s Manor again on another trip to Ocracoke.

Mosbys manor was a gem. A little funky. So many porches. Felt like we were on a little ship headed for the see. Very clean and tidy. Comfortable seating. Great outdoor shower.

Snug & Funky

Small house perfect for two, maybe two close couples. Funky, unusual interior layout. Great light thanks to many skylights and porches.

Love mosby’s and have booked for a couple years. But this year, oven didn’t work, microwave didn’t work, horrible nonstop beeping from the router. Bathroom door got stuck constantly had to leave open. I’m not sure what bugs are in that house, and we see them every year but this year they were constantly on kitchen counter. It was like being held hostage from using the kitchen

Mosby's Manor is quirky and fun and the location is definitely off the beaten path, but I would stay there again.

The house was cute but smelled a little campy. We killed about 5 palmetto bugs in the kitchen and den. Also, a couple of lights were not working (upstairs king and downstairs bathroom). The marsh and the view of the water was beautiful.
