We love Ocracoke, and have always wanted to try staying above the Slushy Stand/Ice Cream Shop. The view exceeded all expectations, the location is unbeatable, and the apartment met all our needs. Our dog loved chatting with people on the street! However, a few improvements can convince us to rent this space again: 1. Window screens -- we could not open all the windows as not all of them had screens, and the ones that had screens -- they were either ripped or bent out of shape. 2. The blinds in the bedroom need to be replaced -- one of them fell off when I used it. I did manage to put it back on. 3. The cabinet door above the bathroom sink does not close properly. It's worn. And the lights under the cabinet don't work. 4. One of the dining room chairs is split -- I learned this the hard way during dinner. 5. The fridge -- the side facing the oven, needs a good cleaning. There are brown grease spots that are not easy to remove. 6. Sand is inevitable! I have no problem with that. But to keep the place clean, it would be helpful to have a good broom. The existing one is old, and not very effective. 7. It also would be helpful to have other basic cleaning items like a mop, or something else we can use to clean the floor.

They are highly competent and give outstanding customer service. When I have encountered a problem, it is taken care of immediately. They make the whole process painless. I highly recommend them.

Staff always super caring, efficient and polite. Home was above the Ocracoke Ice Cream Shop so got a little noisy in the evening but not enough to deduct a star rating. Home quaint and clean plus the wrap around deck is amazing!! Thanks for another great stay!

This is the second time we stayed here and we love it! The porch is awesome and where we spent each evening after watching the sun set at the pier. I would suggest bringing a container to fill with water by the outside door to get the sand off your feet. Also, bring a bath mat to wipe the water off your feet. It will help with the sand. You will get sand into the condo just by unloading the car unless you take the time to kick off your sandals each time you enter. There is a 1/2 clothes rod in the bunkbed room where you can hang a few shirts and perhaps short dresses. Also, you might want to bring a couple of cheap ice trays to double up your ice. If you wish to be nice, fill up two trays provided for the next guests. I almost forgot, I believe they new mattresses. They were most comfy!

If you like being centrally located on the island, this place is perfect. Walking distance to so much, with a huge porch so you can enjoy the activity of the island. My favorite feature was the windows. Great views of Silver Lake. We were there during a colder and windy week but could enjoy feeling like we were outside while being comfortable indoors at times. Quick communication with property owners. Would stay here again.

Needed in the bathroom a curtain, bathmat, towel holder for hand towel and some shelving for cosmetics???. Also. a handheld shower head (makes cleaning easier). One of the lights over the bathroom sink is burned out. Water faucet needs attention. Spray all over the counter. The washer needs to be cleaned; it has a terrible musty smell when opened. No ice. One tray had one cube; the other had 5 cubes. Not one sheet of toilet paper. Thankfully, we had brought our Charmin.

Most everything was wonderful. The bunkbeds moved a lot like they weren’t tight. The only other thing is a mop would be nice. The broom just would not pick up the sand. As always loved the sunset view from the balcony and all the big windows the leather in the light. Stayed here several times. And always have a good time.

We love the property! The location was perfect being in the center of town and easily walkable everywhere. It offered quite a bit of activity right out the doorstep. There was no noise once inside and we loved people watching from the big porch. Views of Silver Lake were amazing from both inside and outside of the property. We will be back!
