Amenities include ceiling fans and a fan in every bedroom. The kitchen features a commercial six burner Vulcan gas stove. Complimentary Wifi. Player piano. Gas heater in living area, dining area, and two upstairs. Washer and dryer.
The exterior offers screened porches and plenty of covered porch space with porch rockers. The screened porch off the lower level bedroom offers an outdoor clawfoot tub. Enjoy a large hot/cold outdoor shower, gas grill, and fish cleaning bench. There is no dock, but it is possible to anchor a small boat or launch kayaks from this property. Two Kayaks. Life jackets are not provided, if you wish to rent them, please contact Ride The Wind Surf Shop. They will be happy to assist.
Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival.

We had 10 people with us on our trip, and Soundfront was completely comfortable. We all felt we had space. Extra blankets and oil heaters were provided and were much appreciated! Lots of space to spread out or get together and play games. All 10 of us could fit at the table and play cards. Peaceful neighborhood and beautiful view!- Posted: 3/22/2025

Told there would be a key after hours at the office but no key was there. Thereafter was told the rental's door was open. The inn was very cold and drafty even with the heaters on. Otherwise charming old Ocracoke Inn on a beautiful site.. Cental heat next year will be welcomre- Posted: 12/1/2024

Fantastic! Property was beautiful with incredible sunsets! Loved how private the dead end street was. Loved the kayaks! The house was very clean and spacious! Plenty of seating! Loved having 2 full size fridges with freezer space! Great water pressure when all 5 showers were in use! Amazing stove in the kitchen! Loved the old charm of everything. My only suggestion to improve the house would be to have window A/C units. Even with the fans running it got pretty toasty especially when cooking in the kitchen.- Posted: 7/14/2024

Ocracoke Realty is amazing! Great communication, goodies and friendliness. We also love the Sound Front Inn. We love the simplicity, the views and the Ocracoke charm. The only drawback is the dramatic price increase with the new owners a couple years ago. For that price, it seems it would be luxury with working internet, toilets that flush, etc. I wish the price could be a little less.- Posted: 6/16/2024

Soundfront Inn was a great place ---can not beat the location----house was beautifully restored---couple of minor things----hot water was spotty to the various showers---sometimes worked --sometimes didn't---ceiling fans in downstairs sun room did not work---since there is no AC I would think working fans would be important---- Posted: 5/19/2024

We took our family spring break trip April's 2024, the house was everything that we wanted in a vacation house. There were 4 adult's (2 of them were a couple) , two teenager, 4 kids between ages of 4 and 10. The kids loved it they played all day our on the private beach sounds side. We also were able to take the Kayaks out, watch the sunset. It was very peaceful and private, we brought food down so lots of cooking in the kitchens.
