Enjoy the appeal of this historic neighborhood, located near the Ocracoke Lighthouse, a pleasant stroll to Silver Lake Harbor, and Springer's Point Nature Preserve. Relax on the large front screened porch and enjoy incredible views from the rooftop deck.

3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths: 2 with Queen, 1 with Queen and Double. Living Room Sleeper Sofa.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, complimentary wireless Internet access, cable TV. Washer and dryer.

The exterior offers a large screened porch, picnic table, deck, rooftop lookout, hot/cold outdoor shower, and park-style charcoal grill.

Linens provided. Beds will be made for your arrival

No Smoking. Limit of 3 vehicles.

Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

Second Floor: Primary Bedroom with Queen Bed and Deck Acess. Primary Bath with Tub/Shower. Two adjoining bedrooms, one with Queen and one with Queen and Double. Hallway bathroom with tub/shower.

As always, Ocracoke Island and Ocracoke Island Realty are wonderful! Purple Martin was an older property in need of some repairs/updates. We encountered some bugs (ants and cockroaches) likely due to the high water table/recent flooding. A few kitchen items that would be helpful: silicone spatula, pizza wheel, plastic water pitcher. Some minor issues were addressed by Ocracoke Island Realty almost immediately. We enjoyed the screened in porch and spent a good amount of time there together. Overall, a successful trip!

The house we stayed in is in much need of repair. Ceilings coming down or taped over in master bedroom. The landing of the stair case leading up to the upper deck very unstable and repaired with a piece of plywood. That being said, the ac worked great and the location was wonderful.

Play purple Martin is an old house, but it has a ton of charm/ character. Each of the three rooms has its own queen size bed was perfect for our three adults. Also, great proximity to Springer point. Loved it.
