BIKING ON OCRACOKE ISLAND IS AWESOME
Ocracoke Island is ideal for bike riding. Everywhere you look people are on bikes. In Ocracoke Village, you can use your bike to run errands, bike to shops, unique galleries and restaurants. Bikes can be found parked in bike racks outside almost every Ocracoke establishment.

In the village, the narrow streets can get crowded, especially in the summer. This makes biking a fast and easy way to get around. Biking is a popular way to visit the Ocracoke Lighthouse, Springer’s Point Preserve, the British Cemetery and the Ocracoke Preservation Society Museum. Take a sunrise or sunset bike ride around the village.

CRUISE OCRACOKE ON YOUR BIKE
Outside of the village, you will find a paved path for biking and walking. You can take a cruise to the nearby beach where you will find a rack to park your bike. Like other islands on the Outer Banks, the terrain is comfortably flat with minimal hills, which makes biking on Ocracoke easy and enjoyable, no matter how much cycling experience you have. In fact, single-speed beach cruiser bikes with coaster brakes are perfect for village travel.
