You will enjoy this fabulous well-appointed cottage aptly named Casa de Amor. Enjoy the village vibe from the spacious wraparound porch or stroll to coffee shops, restaurants, shops, and galleries. There is an expansive kitchen that is great for preparing vacation meals. The house is pet-friendly with wood floors and tile and a fully fenced yard.
3 bedrooms, 2 Baths: 1 with King, 1 with Queen, 1 with Double.
Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access and cable TV. Gas Fireplace (Off-Season Only). Washer and dryer.
Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival.
The exterior offers a screened porch, deck, outdoor shower, charcoal grill, fish cleaning bench and enclosed yard. Tandem kayak. Life jackets are not provided, if you wish to rent them, please contact Ride The Wind Surf Shop. They will be happy to assist.
Pet friendly. Limit of 2 Pets.
No smoking.
Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

"This house is a favorite of ours. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, plenty of furniture and the wrap around porch is beautiful. They did need to come out and fix the internet which was working at all. They came out on Tuesday so all should be okay for the next guest. Thanks again for an amazing week. "

"The house was very comfortable for 4 adults. The kitchen was very well equipped and it was really nice having an extra fridge and washer and dryer. We all enjoyed the screened porch, it was super cozy, especially the corner nook. Great game/puzzle selection which came in handy as we had tropical storm weather. The gate and outside deck were rough with some loose, spongy boards and raised nails."

"We did love this house, the cleaning was ok it could have been a little better. We did have a few broken things that we had to call and have fixed. There was several roaches found in the house and a lot of roaches found at night on the outside screened in porch. As for the towls I would not even dry my truck off with them. Still in search of the perfect house on Ocracoke..."

"We enjoyed our stay at Casa d' Amour. It is clean, the kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable, and it's a great set up for dogs. There were a few issues in the bathroom (off of master's bedroom). The toilet paper bar was broken, one of the light switches did not work, and the toilet did not flush well. Other than these issues the house is wonderful and I highly recommend it!"

"The house was wonderful. We enjoyed the close proximity to everything. The pups loved the fully fenced in yard. We hung out on the screened in porch a number of nights without the bother of mosquitoes. Big bonus!!"

Great house
We loved Casa de Amor. It was just what we needed as the weather this week was not the best. We made the most of it, but did have to spend more time inside than we normally do on our beach vacations. We had plenty of room and the screened in porch was great. Our pooch loved the fenced in yard. Well stocked kitchen made food and drink preparation an ease. Close to everything, so chilly golf cart trips to eat and shop were still great. Thanks OIR for helping us have a great vacation."

Very comfortable
This house offered everything we wanted in a vacation rental: a clean, comfortable bed, a roomy shower, nice kitchen, and a fenced yard for our dog. It is within easy walking distance of the Ocracoke Coffee Company and The Flying Melon. The TV reception is sketchy on some channels but we were not bothered as we only watched TBS which was fine. Our one complaint is that a smoke detector apparently in need of batteries kept beeping and woke us in the middle of the night. We finally stopped it beeping by pressing the reset button. We submitted a maintenance request to have the smoke detector checked but heard nothing from it all week. On Friday I called the office and was told “I believe it was checked”. If it was, no one let us know. Not a good policy to not follow up with your guests on such an important matter. Other than that we had a fabulous time."

"May 2019 Stay
My wife and I have had a wonderful two week stay. The house is all on one level which is great for us since she is handicapped. The fenced in yard and large wraparound porch has been ideal for the pups. The oversized French doors, when opened, creates a wonderful breeze. The many large trees gives it a secluded feel yet we are right next to the "Back Porch" and 2 minutes walk to the coffee shop. We will return God willing."

"October 2018 Stay
This is the second year that we have rented Conky Tonkin'; it is a great comfortable family home that allows for privacy between the master bedroom and the other 2 bedrooms with a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. Perfect accommodations for my husband and myself, and my son, daughter-in-law and their 2 year old toddler. The yard is great for both dogs and children, as is the screened porch. Perfect place for relaxing and reading on a rainy day. Home furnishings have been somewhat upgraded and are comfortable and plenty of seating. Beds are comfortable with extra quilts. Rooms spacious. Lots of puzzles, books, and games for family fun. Perfect location w/in walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc. Only drawback is the steps going up to the house--only 5 or 6, but steep for animals and people. We had a small issue with the heater, but maintenance was dispatched the same day I called and problem solved immediately! I would definitely rent this home again. You are sure to enjoy it and all that Ocracoke has to offer!"

We really enjoyed our stay here, we have stayed at many properties on Ocracoke and this was our favorite so far!! It was convenient to everything and it is one level so there werent a bunch of stairs to climb. The property was clean and had a lot of extras! Loved the screened in porch!
