"I can't tell which House I am reviewing (we rented two because we needed six bedrooms). Hyla House was lovely and great kitchen (needed more forks and spoons). Stairway to Heaven is okay, but there are such simple things to improve it. First, the outdoor shower: Put in a simple wooden hook or something to hang a towel INSIDE the shower! I had to open the door to reach for a towel stuffed into the door handle, giving a fine view to the neighbors -- I finally saw some nails way up on the wall but I could not even reach that high. a small shelf for ones glasses would also be nice. This could be a pleasant outdoor shower, but right now it is ... awkward. Second, we had several days lacking internet when the other house we rented had fine internet so that seemed a little odd. We did appreciate the speedy efforts to resolve it! Third, the house smell was a little bit about sour milk when we first arrived, which abated over time. Okay, that's it -- thanks--"

beautiful house
The house was nice, private and quiet. The couch could use a re-cover as it was threadbare and the wifi was poor. Also there weren't many channels to watch. In addition, I would have liked more lighting in the living room to make it easier to entertain. On the whole, we really liked most aspects of the house."

We have stayed at Hyla House three times already and always love it. It's comfortable, stylish, practical and clean. The beds are great, the furnishing modern, and we love the location - quiet and easy to walk everywhere. Great place with a Scandinavian feel!"

Open and charming house
My family loved the house! It is close to everything but tucked away on a back street so there was plenty of privacy. Even though it is surrounded by trees, the house is very open and bright and the kitchen is a good size! We also loved the decks and the screened porch. Unfortunately there are a lot of large tears in the screens on the porch so we couldn’t stay out there at night without bug spray. The house could also use more seating in the living room and the couch had a leg that was broken. All in all we still liked the house and would stay there again! "

Hyla House was great. Well laid out with three porches! The kitchen has an island in the middle with seating. It's large enough to be in different parts of the house and never feel crowded. Very clean. It has everything you need including some good cookware. Couldn't have asked for more. Thank you!"
