"We loved Hammock View. It’s a great house and we always enjoy being on the canals in Oyster Creek. One suggestion would be for the owner(s) to add a ladder to the dock or a short platform (like the house next door) to make it easier to get out of kayaks there. One of our reasons for staying in OC is for the canal and sound access with kayaks. "

"I contacted maintenance early in our stay to say the Internet wasn’t working. The solution was to unplug the router & plug it back in, which I did but it still didn’t work. I didn’t hear back nor was it ever fixed. "

We have stayed at HammocksView several times. The only reason we don’t give it a 5 is it needs a new dishwasher and the mattresses have declined in comfort over the years we have stayed. Our grandkids and Portuguese Podingo dog love it."

Hammock View is a very bare bones home. The location is great but the house is much unloved. It is clean but needs to supply more of the amenities the other OBR homes have."

The location was great for our ocean boat - having access right to the sound in awesome! The house was nice, a little less extravagant and more basic than what we have rented in the past bc we were looking for 2 weeks, water-front and pet friendly, but the price was great for those features. The kitchen was limited as to what we are used to as far as small appliances and cooking essentials - measuring cups/bowls/etc., but we made do. The second story deck was a little sketchy with the railing, not to code, but it also lacked chairs so while I would have loved to sit out there more, I didn't want to have to drag chairs up and down. The screened porch needs some waterproofing - but it's nice to have that little area that is screened due to squitors! The washer/dryer are downstairs in a shed under the house; it wasn't shown in the pics, so just for future renters to know there is one. The under house area is good for keeping coolers, bikes, etc. The dock had everything we needed, but the chairs need so"

We loved Hammock View. The dock was great for the boat we rented. Plenty of room for our family. The only thing this house needs are more chairs! There were two uncomfortable chairs in the screened in porch and no chairs on the upper deck. The chairs in the dock area are in very poor condition. We are very much looking forward to next summer! The communication from OIR is excellent!"
