"Northern pond great pet friendly site - We had a great stay and the few issues we had were addressed quickly. Thank you for a great week of good food, beaches, awesome weather & ice cream for my grandson. Grandson didn't want to leave and asked me next year to rent a house on the sound with a dock so he can fish all day everyday. "

"We didn’t like the house : not worth the price at all. We had cockroach in the kitchen, it was not clean as we use to get with OIR, lot a negative points, long story short : it’s an old house who need a lot of love. "

Great location for the money, and perfect size for our family. Partial sound and sunset views, plus being at the end of the street keeps the traffic to a minimum. A short golf cart ride to the harbor. "

Great stay!
This is a great, pet-friendly house. My family of 5 plus the dog fit comfortably. The deck and screened porch are particularly nice for morning coffee and eating outside. It is situated close to everything. We will definitely come again! "

Home away from home
Northern Pond was a great home with all the comforts of home. We enjoyed visiting all the local shops, spending our days playing on the beach watching our son teach his daughter to ride waves, and enjoyed the wonderful food from the many restaurants (Dajios, Pony Island, Fig Tree Bakery, Ocracoke Oyster Company, and the Slushie Stand. My granddaughter really loved the golf cart we rented for the week too. Loved being at a true traditional beach, enjoying the time spent with family."
