"Overall, a fantastic location. Affordable. Love the outdoor shower and the small home. Home was mostly clean. However, I didn't love the 3 light fixtures that were unusable in the house because the bulbs were out. Didn't like the fact that the mini-split A/C filters hadn't been clean in over a year and resulted in an overwhelming odor of humidity and cleaning chemical upon entering the home. Once I cleaned the filters myself, the humidity issue and chemical smell went away. If you are renting this house, bring a few light bulbs and check the dishes for cleanliness. Its hard to have a bad time in Ocracoke so this didn't ruin our stay by any means but just stating what we encountered. We will be back again regardless."

"The L was a great place to stay for a couple. We stayed two weeks. It is efficient and comfortable. We used both porches but especially liked the screened-in porch. It has a lot of windows which makes it feel bigger. The galley kitchen had all that one needed for cooking meals. It is tucked away with a good bit of privacy but easy to get to everything. I did not give it 5 stars because of minor ant/bug issue - that could of been because of all the rain we had the first week. I would definitely stay here again the next time I come to Ocracoke. We really enjoyed the space."

"Really enjoyed our stay. We were celebrating my cousin’s 80 th Birthday. Ate out at Dario and the Flying Melon, both great restaurants. Loved the beach, absolutely loved it. We are from Pa. so a two day drive. Next time we will stay longer."

"Great little bungalow on Ocracoke Island - We really enjoyed our stay at the "L" on Ocracoke Island. The "L" has a great location near many activities and restaurants. We were able to walk just about everywhere except the beach, which was a 5-10 minute drive. The "L" was just the right size for two people. We appreciated being able to use the kitchen and the laundry during our stay. Hope we can stay on Ocracoke again one day, and would definitely stay at the "L" again."

"Great location, the perfect 'base camp' for 2 at Ocracoke Island. - Everything a couple needs to enjoy all that Ocracoke has to offer. The bed & couch were very comfortable. All appliances needed were available. Nice parking area. A little difficult to locate at night, so the only suggestion would be to add some kind of address marker near the front drive. Great place to stay. Best value for the island is Howard's Pub. A fun ambience with a generous menu selection. Blessed Bakery, is our first choice for coffee/quick breakfast. Versus 'Ocracoke Coffee' - there was an hour long line when I tried (no.. I am not exaggerating one bit) to get a couple java's, glad I decided to search elsewhere."

"Clean and comfortable. Close to everything - bars Resturants and thing to do. Hosts were terrific. - Hosts were terrific. Loaned us umbrellas for most of our stay. Refurbished cottage was great beach getaway. Will return. Loved the outdoor shower."

The L is small but very cute and comfortable for two people. I was pleased that it also had a coffee maker, washer & dryer, and a hair dryer! It is within walking distance of everything in the village! I loved the secluded yard with ample room for parking and the outdoor shower was wonderful for rinsing the beach sand off of our feet. I enjoyed our time at The L and would recommend it. "

Great stay at the L. Loved the outside spaces...the deck, porch, and dock on Silver Lake. Comfortable bed and furniture. Kitchen had most everything you would need. Great location near fish store, grocery store, restaurants, and craft shops. We will stay here next time we are in town."
