"We loved so many things about this house including the space to spread out. Our only problem was the stove. With no venting and seeming to cook on high no matter what, we set off the fire alarm twice. Fortunately, available fans helped to clear the smoke!"

"The house was fantastic. Classic Ocracoke feel. The kitchen was well stocked with every pan and gadget imaginable and enough dinnerware and flatware to host an island feast!
Our only suggestion is for the owners to add at least a thin layer of rock on the driveway. The drive retains water in rain (as is common at many places on the island) and the mud afterwards was awful. It was a challenge trying to keep children from tracking it into this lovely home.

"Everything was solid overall. The upstairs bathroom lights did not work, and we reported it, but it was not fixed. Not terribly upset about that though, may have taken some electrical work to fix. The guy who came to look at it was very nice, but said he couldn't fix it. We'll definitely be back over to the island at some point."

"The house was in a perfect location for us. Lots of room for everyone to spread out, and lots of storage. Only issue was the back screen door from the deck scrapes the step and won't really open. The downstairs hall toilet was very hard to flush. Kitchen was very well stocked. Enjoyed our stay!"

Perfect Stay!
I cannot say enough about this visit with OI Realty and this house! Both were awesome! Starting with OI Realty, as always, the staff was easy to work with and even managed to get us into the house early, which we greatly appreciated. The house exudes old Ocracoke charm. We have been coming to OINC for 30+ years and each time we seek out the older homes with character and history. I could almost hear the walls talking in this house! The home was clean, conveniently located (even on the July 4th parade route) to everything, super well stocked with anything we could have possibly needed! Lots of outdoor space for hanging out in the mornings with coffee and night with wine, listening to God’s smallest creatures!! The owners thought of everything and more! What we did not bring, we were able to rent from Beach Outfitters, and found everything already delivered upon our arrival! We appreciate the time spent at La Vie En Rose and on this rare and beautiful island! Already planning our next visit! "

Fantastic home away from home. Our family of 8 loved all of the nooks and crannies that allowed everyone their own down time. Kitchen had everything we wanted for cooking our choices from the fish market. The back screened porch is AMAZING- I want one at home! Perfect location for the kids to bike around on their own. Front porch secluded and shaded for sitting and enjoying the time together. A bonus was the hot water even after three kids had showered upon returning from the beach!!! Highly recommend this beautiful island home to those looking to get away in Ocracoke. 15 minute walk to the ferry dock for sunsets. Even shorter walk to Springers Point for another sunset view. Plus, its close to the Taqueria 503 Suazos for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (kid and adult favorite). "

Great house! Love the charm of island home with modern conveniences and well stocked kitchen. My family and I had a wonderful time. We went out on our boat and out to the beach, biked, shopped, had great food. So happy that Ocracoke still has real village feeling and no franchises! Its a special place and this house is our favorite place we have stayed "
