Wild Peony offers a private deck off each bedroom. Located in a tranquil, secluded part of Ocracoke, Wild Peony is a great escape from everyday life. The Ocracoke Lighthouse, Springer's Point Nature Preserve, and Silver Lake Harbor are pleasant walks from your vacation cottage.
3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths: First Floor: 1 with Queen, 1 with 2 Twin beds. Full bath (shower only) and half bath. Second Floor: Primary Bedroom with Queen and private bath (shower only). All baths with showers only, no bathtubs.
Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access, two cable TVs, and surround sound stereo. Washer and dryer. No Fireplace.
The exterior offers a rooftop deck, screened porch, decks, deck swing, large hot/cold outdoor shower, charcoal grill, and fish cleaning bench.

No Smoking. No Pets Allowed. Non-working Fireplace. Limit of 2 vehicles.
Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

"The stairs are a daily workout AND so worth the view! All comfortable! Loved the stereo music system on the main level with open kitchen dining and living space! We were not happy with 2 car limit when clearly could have 3-4. And a little frustrated with having no linens or towels supplied - and all in all very pleased - definitely would do all over again even with tropical storm Debby! Oh and the place was spotless! Great job cleaning!!! Loved our stay! Thank you!"

"Views - The views of the lighthouse and Springer’s point preserve were incredible! The house is beautiful- daily workout climbing stairs and well worth it! Loved property is at the end of neighborhood- very peaceful- feel like you are a part of nature! Kitchen dining and living space has wondersul stereo music! Loved our stay!"

"We loved our stay! We got a great tote that I suspect was supposed to have a roll of paper towels and some essentials for our stay but it didn't. 🙁 Fortunately, we had packed some ourselves and the Variety Store would have what we would need."

"A Real Gem! - Wild Peony was the perfect house for us. It was convenient to everything in Ocracoke Village. The house had all the comforts of home and a well-equipped kitchen. It was also immaculate! The best feature of this home was the lookout deck on top of the house. You could see Widgeon Woods, the marsh grasslands, the Pamlico Sound, the lighthouse and the sunsets and starry skies at night were just breathtaking! And you're up above everything in town! We hated to leave, and will definitely be back!"

"Visited May 2020 May 24 Stay Our first time in Wild Peony and we loved it! The rooftop deck is amazing and second to none. You can see the ocean, South Point Road, and all around the village. The picture window with the lighthouse view is gorgeous. Very family friendly house or would also be great for 3 couples due to the downstairs bedrooms and baths. Widgeon Woods is a quite neighborhood and it only takes a few minute to get to Lighthouse Road and down to the harbor and Springer’s Point. We loved it!"

"June 2019 Stay We come to Ocracoke every other year and this has been our favorite rental so far. Has plenty of space and is nicely furnished and clean. What really makes it shine is the rooftop deck! The views of the island and lighthouse are incredible. Dont miss the sunset from up there. Also, the screened in porch and huge picture window are a real bonus. The location is great for walking to the attractions. There are lots of steps and the main living area is on the top floor, so that may be a consideration for some. "

"May 2019 Stay Really great house. Nice location due to easy walk to everywhere.The filtered water squirts out rusty water so that should be fixed. Other than that, no issues at all!"

"July 2018 Stay I was a presenter at a seminar for NCCAT mid week, and so we decided to bring the whole family and make a week out of it. Wild Peony is a beautiful spot for enjoying Ocracoke-- the screen porch and the beautiful views from the top walk were our favorite spaces! We enjoyed gorgeous days on the beach (despite the small hurricane off the Carolina coast!) and evenings exploring the shops & restaurants. Make sure you get to Howard's Pub and have the bartender make you a Dark & Stormy. Thanks for a wonderful week to unplug and enjoy the island!"
