"Very nice condo. Really enjoyed my stay. Since it was the week of Christmas, it was pretty quiet and very relaxing. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen table is great for putting together puzzles on a rainy day. A few recommendations: 1) replace the sauté pans which are quite old and worn, 2) consider adding a hand bar for stepping in/put of the master shower. It is a very deep tub 3) consider hiring an exterminator for the ant problem and remove the ant traps which are scattered about all over the condo. These are attractive to pets and kids. and finally 4) replace the burned out bulb in the outside light by the front door. "

"Pelican's Perch was ideal for our needs, especially when traveling with our beloved furbaby. The condo is very well supplied, exceeding our rental expectations. The kitchen appliances are newer, and there is a generous supply of dinnerware, glasses, cookware, utensils, and even a mini-chopper that came in handy. The photos online show a Keurig for a coffee maker; however, there was also a regular brew coffee maker (basket-style filter). Added touches included a box fan, vacuum, mop, and dog bowl. This property did not provide linens, which is fine because we prefer our own linens. I believe you can rent linens for a small fee from OIR. Both bedrooms have walk-in closets, a TV, and comfortable beds with coverlets and pillows. There is a small private deck off of the primary suite. The front deck is open, well supplied with outdoor furniture and overlooks the front lawn and the main road. Parking is available in the front and rear area of the complex with approximately five steps to the front door on either side. The location is perfect and within walking distance of local restaurants. We prefer to rent a golf cart for in-village use and keep our vehicle for beach-only use while visiting the island. Overall, it is an updated condo with a good layout - a great place to stay. Sidenote on travel to the island: if you are taking the Swan Quarter or Cedar Island Ferry, make a reservation for both trips well in advance and wait to purchase your temporary beach pass for the day you arrive. OIR has a form on the front porch to fill out and put in your vehicle window, displaying your beach permit (bring a Sharpie) "

"Very happy again w our rental this year. This is the second year booking this unit. It was a little weird loosing power on the island during the debate. Other than that, we appreciate the emails and texts during our stay. Great cleaning service, too."
